COVID-19 Outbreak: Mumbai’s NSCI Dome, Which Hosts Filmfare, IIFA, Turns Into Observation Facility; Hrithik And Others Applaud
At a time when the entire country is undergoing such major pandemic like that of Coronavirus, the Indian government and a streak of well-known personalities are leaving no stone unturned in extending a helping hand to all those in need. One such heartwarming instance recently took place at Mumbai’s National Sports Club of India (NSCI) of Worli, a massive stadium that is known to host some of the most popular award shows like Filmfare, IIFA and Zee Cine among several others.

The Dome belongs to Mazhar Nadiadwala, who in collaboration with BMC, came up with this noble initiative. They also have a tie-up with the Moranis, who were recently tested positive for Coronavirus. Taking to their official Instagram account, the organisers revealed converting the venue into a special quarantine zone for all the patients in need and fight Coronavirus. “Considering the trying times during the COVID-19 pandemic, one of India's largest event venues, Dome, NSCI (Worli), in support from National Sports Club of India, has extended support to the citizens,” read their caption.

They added, “We have joined hands with the Maharashtra Govt @my_bmc @uddhavthackeray @adityathackeray @narendramodi and we at DOME have converted the venue into a special quarantine zone, in a bid to fight the virus. While we have already set up #300 beds with standardized facilities as per the BMC guidelines, we are consistently working along with Health authorities to render our support and help manage the existing cases of the outbreak. #lockdown #stayhome #staysafe #quarantine #corona #coronaindia #domeindia.”

As Aaditya Thackeray shared the news, several celebrities like Hrithik Roshan, Rahul Dholakia and others lauded the move.
